Managing Money and Making a Profit

Course Date - 12th September 2011

This workshop is designed to support you as you start or develop your new business and focus on the financial side.  It will give you invaluable insight into financial issues, guidance on how to successfully manage them and a better understanding on how to make a profit.

What does the workshop cover?

• the cost of starting up 
• determining your current financial situation 
• financing your business 
• getting paid 
• sales forecasting 
• cashflow 
• running costs 
• profit and loss 
• break even 
• costing and pricing 
• tax 
• keeping financial records

By the end of the session you will be able to:

• understand the fundamental financial aspects involved in running a business
• gain support and ideas from fellow participants
• complete an individual workshop action plan detailing your next steps
• understand the Business Link package of support

The session will last for around 3 hours and will be guided by someone who has a wealth of experience you can draw on.

A new beginning for Berwick WorkSpace

The contract for managing the Berwick WorkSpace has recently been awarded to NBSL, an enterprise agency based in Northumberland. NBSL are going to be working hard to improve and develop this inspiring facility and first in line is this newly updated website to promote the benefits of being part of the Berwick WorkSpace.
